Local
church communities, nature preserve educational
presentations and works from the collection of the
Marian Library of the University of Dayton have been
regularly featured at the art gallery.
Gallery Saint
John is free and open to the public.
Since its
inception in December of 1989, Gallery Saint John has
served as an educational outreach of the Marianists to
the Dayton community. In connection with each 6-week
show the gallery offers free workshops in a variety of
visual arts topics including design fundamentals,
ceramics, drawing, and painting, and photography
techniques.
A visit to
our beautiful campus should include time at Gallery
Saint John. We have been committed to the sacredness of
the land and its past inhabitants -- the Shawnee
Indians, the Shaker community; the Marianists have
reverenced the property since 1910.
Come and
enjoy a beautiful place for art and the glories of
nature! Gallery hours: 12 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through
Sunday or by appointment: 937.320.5405
